Hey, your writing is excellent.
Be careful of subject/verb agreement:
From your blog:
“But how long can anybody keep challenging their own speed?”
should be
But how long can they keep challenging their own speed or
But how long can s/he keep challenging his or her own speed.
Another suggestion to make text more readable:
Write like you talk.
You don’t say ” I will be at the library”
You do say “I’ll be at the library.” Use contractions to make text more conversational.
Finally, pick up a thesaurus. Some of the words you choose have connotations to an English-speaker that you don’t intend.
